Ramsell Technologies Announces New Customized Platform Aims to Improve Access to Care for Underinsured Individuals
Oakland, Calif., April 6, 2010 - Ramsell Technologies, a leading provider of healthcare software solutions, has developed a customized online application for Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) to help underinsured individuals locate supplemental healthcare resources such as clinic services, medical supplies and patient assistance programs. PAF recently launched the National Underinsured Resource Directory using Ramsell's technology to help those struggling with rising medical costs identify local and national programs that provide better coverage and reimbursement.
Available free of charge through the PAF Web site, the application leverages proprietary Software as a Service (SaaS) technology to aggregate data and facilitate the matching of information and services. Individuals can either search for information online using key terms or by completing a questionnaire regarding their specific needs. In addition, the application is customized for PAF to track usage, registration, manage patient profiles and compile reports.
"In the last year alone, the number of underinsured-related issues we handled jumped more than 20 percent. Utilizing Ramsell's technology to help patients locate valuable resources and alternative coverage options is a natural extension of our commitment to removing obstacles to care for individuals who are having difficulty meeting out-of-pocket costs," said Nancy Davenport-Ennis, President and CEO of Patient Advocate Foundation.
The application is one of several programs available through the Ramsell Healthcare Application Management Platform (RHAMP), a SaaS-based suite of software products that include tele-adherence and data management. RHAMP can be customized and configured to customer specifications.
