Ramsell Holding Corporation Appoints New Leadership Founder Sylester Flowers Retires and Turns Reigns Over to Son Eric Flowers

Oakland, Calif., January 17, 2008 Ramsell Holding Corporation, the parent company to healthcare-related businesses including Public Health Service Bureau, The Apothecary Pharmacy and Flowers Heritage Foundation and a long-standing public health advocate in the San Francisco Bay Area, today announced a momentous change in leadership with the retirement of founder Sylester Flowers and the appointment of Eric Flowers to President and CEO of Ramsell Holding Corporation.

In other leadership announcements, Sophia J. Byndloss, vice president of Operations, Public Health Service Bureau, has been appointed to President of Public Health Service Bureau, succeeding Eric Flowers. In her new role, Byndloss will be responsible for day-to-day management, strategic planning and implementation of corporate initiatives. Tim Murrill, vice president of Business Development at Public Health Service Bureau, will become Executive Vice president of Sales and Marketing at Ramsell Holding Corporation. Murrill’s responsibilities in Sales and Marketing as well as strategic development will expand to cover all the business units under Ramsell Holding Corporation.

For more than 40 years, Sylester Flowers dedicated his life to serving the underserved as a pharmacist, scientist, and business leader in the San Francisco Bay Area. Flowers founded Ramsell Corporation, predecessor to Ramsell Holding Corporation, in August of 1967, initially as a holding company for his successful chain of pharmacies. He then expanded the company into a conglomerate of five organizations to fulfill his mission of serving disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Eric Flowers has been appointed President and CEO of Ramsell Holding Corporation, taking over the reigns from his father Sylester Flowers. Eric was most recently the president and CEO of Public Health Service Bureau where he played a key role in securing ADAP contracts with California and Washington and the company’s diversification and growth.

“My father’s unwavering commitment in public health and providing services to the most fragile among us is an inspiration to me, our family, and the company, said Eric Flowers, the newly appointed president and CEO of Ramsell Holding Corporation. I’m honored to follow in his footsteps and I am challenged to continue to grow the family business, extending our services and solutions to other public health programs.
