Ramsell International represents Ramsell Holding Corporation's interests and operations worldwide. Ramsell International, in a Public Private Partnership on Global Health, is working on a health care initiative focusing on HIV/AIDS issues in Southeast Asia. Leveraging Ramsell’s 30 plus years of public health experience, Ramsell’s enablement program is assisting host governments at local and national levels establish and maintain health care programs to reach people with limited or no access to health care services. Ramsell International is globally serving the underserved people who most need care.
The Apothecary is the oldest Ramsell business, founded by Syl Flowers in East Oakland in 1964. Flowers has always maintained pharmacies in neighborhoods where he could best serve the disadvantaged. Operating pharmacies provided the foundation to expand the business into pharmacy benefit administration services. Working tirelessly in the community, Flowers’ interests broadened into working in the areas of substance abuse, mental health and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Ramsell continues to operate one pharmacy, at the Eastmont Town Center in Oakland, California.
