Software Engineer: Responsible for building secured and HIPPA compliant Health management products. Develop custom web sites, web services and reports to handle complex EDIs. Involve in production support and improvements to the system. Develop modules using MFC and Sybase. JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building products that are secured and HIPAA compliant. The products will range from developing custom web sites, web services, and reports to handling complex EDIs. Responsible for fostering strong team environment and deliver quality solutions within the Microsoft platform. Will manage the full cycle implementation of SDLC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze business requirements and generate design/development/test documents as outlined on the completed SDLC
• Implements best .Net development practices for new and existing projects
• Apply Agile practices to daily development that includes Task Estimation, Continuous Integration and Iterative Development
• Utilizes approaches that solves business problems efficiently, provides extensibility and configuration

REQUIREMENTS:

• A strong team player who is able to communicate clearly and effectively with business and development team members
• Expert in object oriented programming and design patterns
• Ability to unit-test code thoroughly prior to the QA release
• Strong experience with SQL Server 2008 with the ability to write and understand complex SQL queries
• Experience in deploying web applications, release to production and production support process
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must demonstrate time management, organizational, and superb interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable about all phases of Software Development Lifecycle - SDLC
• This job is a hands on coding job and will involve at least 80% amount of coding, unit testing

EDUCATION:

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent degree and/or experience

EXPERIENCE:

• 6+ years of C# experience with emphasis on web applications development using ASP.NET
• Demonstrated experience working with ASP.NET MVC
• Strong experience with .Net 4.0, Visual Studio 2010, WCF, Workflow Foundation and Entity Framework
• Experience with reporting solutions such as Crystal Reports, SSRS will be desirable but not required
• Experience within HealthCare domain, EDI Processing is a plus but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Predominately sedentary office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (80% to 100%) of the workday.
• Close vision required
