JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Analyst
REPORTS TO: CTO/COO
DIRECT REPORTS: Operations & Applications Support Staff
FLSA Status: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
This is a 'hands-on manager' position responsible for successful execution of information technology engineering tasks and/or projects while ensuring SLA adherence. The manager will oversee and/or perform tasks involved with analyzing and directing all information technology related activities for one or more teams. This position is accountable for ensuring successful delivery of project efforts through planning, requirements gathering, implementation, testing, rollout, and support phases as well as continuous site and back office system availability. Coordination of operational activities and team members are critical to successful execution in this role. This position also has responsibility for client management with regard to requirements, sign-off, managing to release dates, testing and production pushes.
The IT Manager will manage and oversee the Operations & Applications Support Staff daily functions. This includes overseeing the administrative procedures such as: recruitment, training activities, ensure operational efficiency and optimum customer service is provided, drive and assess the performance reviews, establish/complete goals, manage work schedules, and any other duties related to the management of the operations team as determined by the CTO/COO.
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Supervise information technology team: assign and prioritize tasks/projects, oversee work, perform reviews to ensure quality of work, enforce standard operating processes, and ensure adequate testing and requirements validation
- Manage workflow: coordinate activities, define/negotiate priority, and negotiate deliverable dates with clients
- Enforce company policies and procedures as a member of management for all subordinates
- Perform human resource management activities: conduct performance evaluations, define and execute professional growth plans of assigned individuals, resolve personnel issues such as performance related or interpersonal issues as needed
- Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and every level of management
- Define and enforce standards based upon agreed upon conventions
- Determine the goals of assigned projects within broad outlines provided by the executive management and contribute to the continuity of the business by providing necessary technical leadership and project coordination
- Forecast costs, timelines, equipment and personnel needs for assigned projects and programs as required and related to information technology delivery
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data processing while striving for enhanced user productivity through implementation of new technology where applicable, and the implementation of processes that more effectively utilize resources
- Contribute to the long and short-range planning process for infrastructure evolution, solution selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them
- Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers
- Successfully deliver comprehensive solutions
- Perform information risk assessments, identify gaps and develop mitigating controls
- Ensure IT processes are monitored on a continuing basis to ensure the business information’s confidentiality, integrity and availability are maintained at the highest level possible and to respond effectively to any threats to the information assets
- Ensure the privacy of the client’s ePHI
MAJOR RESPONSABILITIES (40%): Production Hardware and Software Management:
- Manage technical performance improvement programs, stressing quality control of service to clients
- Align computer and/or voice systems technologies to compliment and support business/strategic plans
- Coordinate the development of a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, maintain the plan, and conduct periodic testing
- Make recommendations for new/altered technologies that would contribute to systems cost savings and/or productivity improvements
- Provide for efficient computer and/or voice system operation, including total throughput, CPU use, peripheral operation, and application performance statistics.

- Perform server maintenance including: preventive maintenance and update of all computers and servers

- Oversee SLQ server and SQL production DB’s in production, run maintenance per schedules and documented procedures
- Review Security logs: intrusion detection, analysis and respond to any unusual activity
- Disk Space utilization, allocation

- Respond to issues of access to core business applications
- Deploy and configure client-side applications as needed
- Provide basic user assistance for technical interaction with applications technical issues
- Act as Primary responder for issues escalation/resolution

EDUCATION:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline. Relevant work experience (3 years minimum) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE:
-
Ten to fifteen years related experience; to include technical analysis, systems programming, and computer service/repair. Knowledge of computer network products as demonstrated by work experience or education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS::
- Office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work, attend meetings as required
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Some travel required, up to 10%
- Close vision required
